We welcome contributions of summaries of original research that have been accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal, written for a lay audience. Your summary will be edited according to the house style, peer reviewed to ensure the content reflects the published work and modified for clarity by a lay member from the patient community. We will then send you a proof prior to publication.
If you would be interested in contributing your work please send us a summary that takes the following format (400 words):
Why is this important?
What did you do?
What did you find?
What does this mean and reasons for caution?
Cystic Fibrosis Unite will also be able to increase the involvement of patients in the planning of clinical studies by hosting focus groups (no cost) to enable researchers to refine the design of future studies at the protocol stage, prior to funding, in so doing increasing the competitiveness of such projects. We would also welcome your involvement in this for any future studies you may be planning – please contact us for more information.
