Clinical research in CF – an example from Queens University Belfast

  • Posted by admin

Research in CF is increasingly being carried out by large multidisciplinary teams.  Here at Queen’s University Belfast, our team consists of clinicians, physios, nurses, pharmacists and scientists who are working together with colleagues in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.

We are also working with other CF centers in the UK, Ireland and worldwide to improve existing treatments for CF and develop new ones.  However, none of this research could be done without the participation of people with CF.

We wanted to make this video for people with CF who have already participated, or are considering participating in a clinical study, to show what’s involved and to make them aware of how important they are in the whole process.

We hope it provides an insight into the type of research we carry out, how this has already benefitted people with CF, and how it will hopefully continue to benefit them in the future.
