We are developing new ways for studying what happens to food and its components – particularly carbohydrates and fats – in the stomach and bowel.
We use MRI scanning, a safe and non-invasive way to see inside the bowel
We will use these techniques to study healthy digestion and what goes wrong in ill health.
We are looking for volunteers to help us with the first stages of development. Volunteers will have a series of scans before and after eating the meal that we are studying.
There will be no blood tests or medicines to take. We provide an allowance for expenses.
If you think you can help, please get in touch via email GI_MRI@nottingham.ac.uk quoting the food optimisation study.
